in the pvp random arenas i got in a party with 2 monks, me (w/e) and some w/mo jerkoff we started out great and won our first battle then on to the second one. charged in, everything going fine but then i realsied the other war was just sitting there doing notin so i asked him what he was doing. he immedialty began to chage in so i thought that was the end of it, but no! he then die multiple times and we lose. this conversation then unravels:

jerkoff: you GO RE ENGINE noob u made us lose!!
me: i think you'll find i got our team about 4 points unlike you who sat around and died a lot.
jerkoff: oh yeah right we all beleive you
*by this time the monks have left.*
jerkoff: we've got no chance now! the monks have gone! you GO RED ENGINE GO RED ENGINE noob, you are the GO RED ENGINE worst [player i have ever seen.
me: pff

Saw another jerk today in TOA

A guy was saying (in local channel) that his group all had to pay 1 plat to go into UW with him or he would kick them.

Me: Do not listen to him. You do not have to pay 1 Plat a person to go into UW
Jerk: Don't listen to them. They dont know what they are saying
Me: You pay only 1 plat a group to go into UW
Jerk: Don't listen to them
*Jerk said again that they had to pay him*

After this the guys who he had scammed were shouting that he should give back their money. It's really sad that people abuse other people like that.

I was just in ascalon, checking to see if i had missed any early quest and isee ppl spaming LF guilds that have runners and will run them/powerlvl, etc...

ppl like that are usualy guild scammers, imo, and i had seem more in the district before, so i made a comment.

I made this comment in reference to no one, just in general the "you"
just so happens that someone thinks i'm talking to them, which i'm NOT

To me, the jerks are the ppl new in guilds that want everything handed to them. Granted we were all new once, but even then I never got ran or relied on guildies for help my first time threw.

If they start a character, then want a guildie to run them to dessert and have them ascened, then powerlvl, then why even play?

I prbly got a little offtrack, but keep those stories coming!

Lol the bigger jerks are the ones who harrass you when they find out you really are a girl and start following you around the towns and messaging you. or Try dancing on you when you are sitting in the town.

See my problem is I am too much of a nice monk lol. I cant stand to leave even the jerks dead for too long. But I do make them wait till the bad guys in the area are dead. My friend Laz is a necro battery who dies alot but at least hes not screaming at me to heal him in the middle of the fight.

The People who spend the whole time yelling at me that im not healing frustrate me the most since i constantly show how much energy I have.
The second most frustrating people are the monks or eles who think they are tanks and run in and get killed and i have to waste my time healing them

I mean come on eles and monks generally arnt made to tank thats why our armor isnt as high as the warriors.

It never ceases to amaze me what people will get mad at you for. Take for instance the fact that this guy told me that he would pay me 20k to help his guildmate to beat the last mission. I of course said yes and left a group of 4 people who were looking for more people and not finding anyone. I mean common sense tells you that if there are 3 groups of 2 or 3 people to try combining them so you arnt sitting there forever. Anyways It took us 3 runs to beat the mission with people quiting each time and having to work with less than 8 before we beat it. The guy actually payed me the 20k and then asked me to do the gilrath quest for some of his guildies for another 20k. I was telling this to a friend in open chat in ring of fire cuz we were in different parties and people actually started arguing with me that no one would pay that much for a mission and that even if they did and I took it I was horrible to do so. I just wanted to scream at them but im too nice to do it but i sure thought of quite a bit to say to them. I eventually just asked them if they were offered 20k for a mission who would really turn it down. I mean come on money in the game isn't that easy to come by without farming. I don't think that made me a horrible person but apparently they thought so.

Sometimes I think im too nice for my own good though cuz my money stays at 100k at all times cuz I cant help wanting to help good players out when they dont have the stuff to get better armor. I know that I won't get anything out of it but I still do it.

It isn't really about being nice/not nice...it's just a matter of triage...of doing what is best for your team... at least when I do it. I can't speak for others.

Thanks to everyone for their great stories, many of them bring a tear to my eye (in a good way). Now I ran into a jerk yesterday and I had to sign up just to tell the story...

Ok this is a longish one, but he gets credit as one of the dumbest most loud mouthed jerks I've ever run into, and I have run into quite a few...

I was just doing some pve quests with my 4th character, a fairly capable and well equipped lv16 E/Mo. I'd been doing a lot of pvp lately and felt like some pve to mix it up. I arrived at the first mission point after Yaks Bend, and notice it's fairly quiet. Rather than bother trying to organise a group I thought I'd first just put myself out there...

Me> E/Mo LFG for mission

Anyway, another E/Mo, shall we call him "Jerk", invites me straight away to make a party of 2. Fine I thought.

Me> Hi

No response... Fair enough, some players aren't that talkative. Anyway I notice from the huge queue of blind invites he's stacked up, that he's just randomly inviting everyone in the area. Not usually the best way to get a party and at this point I'm kind of tempted to leave. But instead, I figure I'd help out.

Me> GLF 4 more for mission
...
Me> GLF 3 more for mission

Sure enough we quickly get some interest, including another E, a W/Mo, and a W/E. Jerk quickly adds them, at least he's capable of that I thought. I greet each one, meanwhile Jerk stays completely silent. I jokingly say:

Me> "Jerk" is the strong and silent type

Figured that might bring him out of his shell, but no give. Anyway, as soon as we get 5 in the group Jerk suddenly adds Alesia and we're off, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. A bit annoyed, because normally when party leader I will give everyone a chance to check their skills and discuss strategy if they wish. But no one else complains and my skills were ready, so no biggie.

As we do the first bit involving lighting the beacons, I quickly notice that he's speeding off ahead, lighting the beacons. No huge deal, with him as lv15, and me as lv16, we had no real trouble with any of the groups, and everyone else was mostly keeping up (even Alesia!). The trouble really began when we got near the first gate where you need a keg to blow it up. Anyway at this point, with no one saying anything, the party is starting to get a bit confused, with 3 of us going one way, and Jerk, Alesia, and one of the others going the other way. Anyway, Jerk suddenly starts clicking his position furiously on his position in the radar, still not saying anything. I figure that he probably must know the right way (despite having done this mission 3x I'm really bad with directions), however I notice that one of us has wandered off and got tangled up in some aggro so I go over to help him out before we link up. Anyway it takes nearly a minute for me to take out the aggro by myself and res him. Jerk finally speaks!

Jerk> COME HERE!!
Jerk> YOU GUYS ARE THE DUMBEST PLAYERS EVER! U GUYS ARE DUMB!!
Jerk> I CANT BELIEVE HOW DUMB YOU ARE!

Hmmm.. anyway I ignore him just for the moment and head back with the guy I resed. On the way back we both notice one of the drawven keg piles and grab a keg each just incase it might be useful for the point the party is up to. Anyway when we get back...

Jerk> YOU DUMB IDIOTS THE KEGS ARE OVER THERE!
Jerk> YOU ARE SO DUMB YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE KEG
Jerk> YOU ARE ALL SUB HUMAN!!

Starting to get a bit annoyed.. so I fire back:

Me> Nice, you don't say anything for the entire mission and the first time you say something its to abuse your party members?

Jerk> Shut up dumbass! I'm only doing this mission to help out and to farm for my armor! You are dumb!

Ok now I'm starting to see red. Normally I am nice and helpful in this game, but I can be a real jerk to another jerk when I want to be..

Me> Ok, so your idea of helping out people is by staying silent, rushing ahead, and abusing your party members. What a ----tard!
Me> And you think doing this mission is a good way to earn money, lol

Jerk> SHUT UP I bet you don't know how make money, you are a dumb ass! You have no money!
Jerk> You are below human!!

Me> I know better ways than this.. Towards the end of the game for example..

Jerk> I'm not at the end of the game dumbass! I want to buy some armor dumbass!
Jerk> Aoi is a dumb ass! Aoi doesn't know how to make money!

I was thinking this is funny, he's doing this mission to buy armor.. what armor I was wondering? Droks? And presumably it's his 1st character.. Anyway I equip one of my green items, just for some one upmanship.

Me is wielding <name of green item>
Me> You even know what that is? It's one of the green items.

Jerk> I know what greens are dumbass! I have a green bow dumbass! You get them in the last mission!

Me> Um no not quite...

Jerk> You can get anything in the last mission! Green items and better dumb ass!

Me> Perhaps you should stop talking before you seem more stupid than you already are.

Other party member> lol

Jerk> Shut up dumbass!!

Anyway at this point the party has gone on without me, and I'm just sitting back in some disbelief at this jerk I've run into (my official biggest jerk). Anyway, screw that I thought, lets try and do the bonus by myself. I was also kind of hoping he'd get himself killed somehow. Anyway I'm fighting off groups of 4-5 hexing dryders, but fortunately with 8 in heal, and 11 in fire I'm doing ok. At this point one of the other guys notices the hexes piling on me.

Other party member> what is aoi doing?

Me> Oh, just doing the bonus since "Jerk" was too much of a lazy ass to do it.

Other party member> cool!

Jerk> Shut up dumb ass!! You don't know this mission !! aoi is a dumb ass!
Jerk> Bonus is only 1000xp! Only idiots do the bonus!

Anyway, I'm getting up to the dragon to complete the bonus and just then the rest of the party must have got to a mission spawn point which teleports the entire party to the next bit of the map. I was a bit annoyed ... but more annoyed when ...

Jerk> HAHAHAHA!!! I stuffed you up!!! I stopped you from doing the bonus!!

Me> Um, this is my 4th character, I don't really care so much myself. All you're doing is screwing over the rest of the party who you said you were meant to be helping.

Jerk> I don't care about them dumbass!

Other party member> Can we still do the bonus?

Me> Not sure...

Anyway I follow the party for a bit, but then decide stuff it, and head back. Eventually I find my way back to the bonus and start my final assault.

Jerk> Haha I've got the torch!!! hahahaha
Jerk> You have to pay me 1000g to finish the mission!!! its aoi's fault!!!

Other party member> don't be an idiot

Jerk> SHUT UP YOU NEED TO GIVE ME GOLD NOW!

Me> Haha, that's the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. Don't pay him anything everyone.

Jerk> SHUTUP DUMBASS! Ok 500g!

Me> Don't pay the ----tard

At this point I'm just taunting him to try and stop him from completing the mission while I "sneakily" finish off the bonus myself, taking a few minutes to bring the dragon down. By the time I'm finished, Jerk is now only asking for 50g, and one of the other party members is offering him some drops to finish the mission. Then the shield comes up and everyone gets their 1k xp.

Me> Lol, I was just taunting you to give me a chance to finish the bonus, nice!

Jerk> SHUTUP DUMBASS!! OK I'M NEVER FINISHING THE MISSION NOW!!!

Me> No bother to me, I could solo this mission myself. All you're doing is screwing over these poor guys.

Jerk> YOU CANT SOLO YOU ARE LV16 CRAP!

Me> Um, sup fire, plus droks, probably I could..

Anyway, to cut a long story short jerk eventually gives in, collects his 50g worth of collectables and completes the mission. Straight away he quits the party. I try to spam him some, but he's gone offline. No problem, he's now on my friends list so next time I see him we can catch up

The party reforms again with the 4 of us, and 2 new players. I give 300g (hey this character is kind of poor) to each of the old party to refund them for what they gave Jerk, and to give them some compensation for the annoyance. This new party goes on to complete the next mission AND the bonus (with me as sole healer), with no trouble at all

Re von Falcon's long story: I love when this sort of stuff happens to me. I got no patience for it. I probably wouldn't have joined the mission with this silent jerk, but if I did, I would have left it shortly after his first outburst. I would have announced to the rest of the group that there was no way I would continue in a party with such an idiot, that they must please excuse that I am going to map back and form a new group, and that they are all welcome to map back and form it with me without him. If the others are good, decent players, they would do so. Unless I want to continue for the amusement factor (which often is the case, actually) I feel that my GW playing time is too valuable for wasting it with such a moron.

well i met a jerk/scammer today. im in LA dist 1 with my ele/mes and some1 is spamming "WTS BEST 55 hp weapon!". i thought it was a 40 percent enchant axe or a denravi sword. i pm him asking him to c it cuz my 55hp monk aint using any special weapons. he shows me the fire wand u get from the collector outside nolani (4-7 dmg E+5 dmg +25% char). he tells me that its worth 100k and that hes selling for 20k. now i know that he is trying to scam me because i am using this wand with my ele (when i get into energy management problems). so i ask him where he got it and he claims:
"It is the denravi fire-wand. rarest item in the game. best item for 55 hp build. it got nerfed cuz it was so good! 25k ok?".
i show him mine and say: "u get this from the collector outside nolani for 3 charr carvings lol"
he then says: "U NOOB U DONT KNOW ANYTHING. IVE BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME MUCH LONGER THAN U. ITS A DENRAVI FIRE WAND!!!!"
I then say "there is no denravi fire-wand buddy (true it never existed), and if there was it would b close to max dmg, not 4-7 dmg."
he then goes on: "SHUT UP U NOOB, I HAVE 7 DENRAVI SWORDS AND THERE ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO MAX DMG. THEY R ONLY DMG 5-11!!!!!! U DONT KNOW ANYTHING U NOOB. I HAVE 15K ARMOR AND U DON'T!!!"
i then say" show me ur denravi swords"
"I dont show my collection to noobs like u"
JERK is ignoring u.

ok... so basically everything he said was wrong and everything i said was right and i had 15k aeromancers.

why r people like this. 2nite ill log on with my other account and try to get some SS and report him for scamming.

the lol made me believe he was joking and i like some humour, so:

then in the last area, 4 of us die, including me.

tl resurrects all, after a succesfull fight, accept me. (he was our only monk)

tl: don't waste your res sig on him, he is a ****** jerk
me: is it what i said about time ? Sorry, man i was just joking !

me: ok, man sorry i insulted you, i have bad sense of hmour, lol

ofcourse i was resuurected by another teammate, but he never healed me, and they had to spend another res sig on me untill end of quest....we made it though.
